The Secret of NIMH
NIMH Muti-User Chat Kingdom
Brutus wielding his trusty pointy thing - part of the friendly world of NIMHMUCK!
Want to try NIMHMUCK? Its a role-playing game in the style of Dungeons and Dragons, where you act as a character within the NIMH world (set some time before the film) and interact with other NIMH characters, played by other fans of the film. You can either be in the game as yourself (Out Of Charachter), or play as part of the game In Character. Ask the wizes about being IC and OOC. There are quite a lot of commands, and it takes a little while to get into at first, but if you need any help a wizard will come to your aid. Type 'Wizes #awake' for a list of on-duty wizards, then type 'page wiz' where wiz is the name of the on-duty wizard.
If you can't see what you're typing go to Terminal, Preferences, & click 'Terminal Echo' to on. If your browser supports the feature you can 'record' your session in the game. In the Windows 95 Telnet window click onto Terminal, then click Start Logging. Click Stop Logging when you're finished. At the end you'll have a text file of everyone's actions during the game. It can be handy sometimes!

This game is played live.   It isn't "game policy" to do/say anything that would offend anyone - in fact that's probably the quickest way to get kicked out!   Of course, be that as it may, 'anything can happen, and probably will!'
You may experience the same timelag problems I have with NIMHMUCK's Telnet system, where letters I type do not appear immediately, or appear in the wrong place. I think this is due to a slow connection, as the letter you type is transmitted back to you after the NIMHMUCK computer receives it (in keyboard echo mode). There isn't a lot you can do about it - but it isn't a fault with your computer!
