The Secret of NIMH
I've been wanting to put one of these adverts on the net for SO LONG you wouldn't believe it! :-) I've searched for almost the entire time I've been on the net for JUST ONE of these advertisements, and today, after a bag of my old comics turned up in the attic, I finally can!! :-)
Some of you who have read the "NIMH Memories" site may recall me mentioning the four comic strip ads that ran weekly in the UK for NIMH in the summer of 1982. This is one of them - I believe the last of the four, and although it appeared elsewhere, this one appeared in the 7 August 1982 (No.78, published Saturday 31 July 1982) issue of "Buddy" (a boy's comic of the time). It appears that it may have been adapted from a comic strip version of the film... a caption at the bottom of the frame reads "From original Comic Album courtesy Western Publishing." Be that as it may, this version has been made into an advertisement so its different in that respect at least! Anyway, here it is... isn't anyone going to play a fanfare??! Sorry about the scan quality - I only have a hand scanner... I'll try to get a better scan later.
